IVFCam organized and held a one day symposium on Gender Based Violence (GBV) on the Campus of National Poly-technique University Institute Bambui.
The project Safe Schools” which seeks to minimize the incidence of GBV on the campuses of the University of Bamenda and National Poly-technique institute, via awareness building and sensitization of the students on GBV. This was an activity under the 16 day’s activism project delayed due to the current conflict in the North West region.
It should be recalled that the project commenced with the training of some 20 young persons on the GBV with the task to serve as ambassadors among their peer on what constitute GBV, what to do if violated, and how to report cases of GBV via the mobile application Ops4women (a mobile application to monitor and report cases of GBV). 



The symposium saw the participation of students from all the faculties of the university, lecturers, Administrative and support staff of the university, as well as partner organization Medecine du Mond Swiss, represented by the Project Manager, Mr Kisob George, a cream of resource persons (Service Providers) to share information on how cases of GBV are handled at their different areas of competence
